EcoVisio launches the 8th edition of the activEco ecological education program, through which it supports young people to become agents of change in Moldova, but also in the neighboring regions of Ukraine and Romania. Find out below what the program can offer you and how to participate!
activEco 2020 will start with an Impulse Seminar in English between March 22-27, at the EcoVisio Training Center in the village of Rîșcova (Criuleni district). At the seminar you will find the first dose of motivation and creative energy, but also a community of people who share your values. Also here you will receive theoretical and practical knowledge about climate change, and how we can act to reduce its effects.

The seminar will be held in English, but we will also have an Impulse Seminar in Romanian and Russian between April 28 and May 3. The call for entries will be launched at the end of March, but you can already pre-register here – bit.ly/activEco2020-RO-RU
What's next
After the two Impulse Seminars, activEco will continue with a series of weekend trainings, where you will deepen your knowledge about climate change in an interactive format. The trainings will take place throughout the year and will address the following topics:
- Cycling as "green" transport
- Waste prevention
- The collaborative economy
- Energy efficiency and renewable energies
- Healthy food
- Creating videos with social impact
Throughout the program, you will be encouraged to implement your own project on a topic you care about, with the support of a mentor and a small grant of up to €500. After completing the project, you will join the 330 EcoVisio program graduates who benefit from special events and opportunities.
"Before activEco, I had no idea what I wanted to do in life. When I started my own project, despite the fear, I stopped thinking about and I started doing more things that I liked. At some point, I understood that these things became my main activity, and they have remained so for all 6 years since I graduated from the program" – Gabriela Isac, member of the activEco team.
What else do you need to know?
activEco is open to those aged 16-35, from all over Moldova but also from the neighboring regions of Ukraine and Romania. The most important criterion, however, is enthusiasm and the desire to work with small but determined steps towards a better and more eco-friendly future.
Participation is free, and transport, accommodation and meals will be covered by the organizers. For other questions, you can contact Gabriela Isac – +373 698 17 235, gabriela@ecovisio.org. Follow activEco also on Facebook: www.facebook.com/activeco.program/
