Plastic waste

In the era where plastic is one of the most used materials (including for packaging), so that even the water we consume daily is bottled in plastic, the waste from this way ends up everywhere. The sources of plastic waste are very multiple, as well as the diversity of types of plastic.

dwhat to we reduce the use of plastic: Plastics are made from petroleum. Plastic waste is not biodegradable, remaining over 500 years in nature. It breaks down into microplastics and enters the water, air, soil, through an accumulation effect, the pollution manifesting permanently and affecting everything that lives. Therefore, as much as possible - avoid plastic consumption, choose reusable bags, packaging made of biodegradable and/or reusable materials (glass, cardboard, wood), inert (metal). Buy in bulk more often.

Why recycle plastic?: Finally, if we still use plastic products or in plastic packaging, selectively collect plastic waste for recycling. Recycling a plastic bottle saves enough energy to run a 60 W light bulb for 6 hours. Recycling plastic reduces water consumption and greenhouse gas generation by at least 2.5 times, etc. One square meter of carpet can be made from 10 recycled PETs, saving other limited natural resources.

What can we hide?selective cta for recycling: plastic beverage containers (PETs), transparent or colored PET plastic bottles for beverages - water, juice, beer, u

lei, plastic film from water bottles, yogurt buckets, plastic crates, plastic casseroles (the transparent ones), milk bottles, plastic objects, plastic toys, bottles and other plastic packaging from cosmetic products or care products, detergents (creams, shampoos, shower gels, dish detergent, laundry detergent, conditioner, etc.), plastic cans and boxes, milk or juice boxes, including TETRAPAK type packaging), colored straws, medicine bottles, casseroles, cutlery, plastic cups and containers, plastic pots, yogurt, margarine and other food containers, etc.

We do NOT post everything here: containers with products containing chemicals, combined metal and plastic products, cans/cans with paint residues, thinners or other hazardous chemicals, medical waste (eg: used syringes)

How we collect selectively: containers must be emptied, rinsed and pressed to gain space.
